The Never Ending Quest - Episode 22419
| "Captain's Log, supplemental. It had been an uneventful week, deep in
Thallonian space. No attacks by raving bands of pirates, no giant flame
birds bursting out of planets...nothing. That is, until two half-human,
half-wolf beasts appeared in the middle of McHenry's holodeck
session. Of course, they looked like one of our many, many enemies and McHenry called security. The female managed to knock out two of my men, Johanssen and K'epler before being stunned. My second in command, Shelby, is inclined not to trust them. But when examined, the female had retractable claws in her hand. My men are injured, sure, but if the female had chosen to use her claws, they would be dead. I feel this indicates the female, at least, is to be trusted. The male, I'm not so sure. McHenry dropped him with a Vulcan nerve pinch. While I applaud his iniative, I did not know McHenry knew the Vulcan nerve pinch. I shall have to ask him about this... Though I know full well I will end up asking him to teach me the manuver. Captain Calhoun out." The youngish captain sat in the secondary lounge of the proud starship. The secondary lounge was a new feature, only on three other ships. Only advances in enviormental control and waste management allowed there to be thus space for one. It was shaped like a horse shoe, the windows at the shorter ends and the bar on the inside top curve. And the Captain, apart from their bartender, a strangely quiet Bajoran, occupied the space. Both were deep into their problems, though the Bajoran's concern over his crush on the ship's barber/waste management specialist [Calhoun encouraged cross-training] won't be examined this episode. The Captain's concerns are paramount now, he wants to know how these two entities got onboard.
