"Too close minded to have believed," I say, "Too close minded to have listened after that.

"You had to nearly shout her down a few times there to get her to agree even as much as she had before the brewery," I plow on, "Creator knows what would have happened if she had stopped listening before then! She would, I though feel, would have placed us all under some kind of arrest to be picked up later and put into the loony bin. That of course would have pretty much spoil Sigin short circuiting things with that challenge to Morgaine after Inquirer had jumped her son and his knights. The butcher bill would have been very high for not only King Arthur's knights, but especially for UNIT. Instead of one battle to settle things before a high body count could take place, it would have been a disaster!"

We did one better by not only preventing a blood bath, but in the course of things with that demon of Morgaine's breaking free at the wrong time pretty much ruined her with her followers. It looked like a cowardly strike on her part when the demon showed it's ugly puss....

That said....

"I've been told," I finish up softly and earnestly, "That you've complained about aliens not being phased by ordinary Earthern bullets. I fear that until Bambera awoken to that fact, she'd soon be having those same problems with Morgaine's knights....and the bloody results afterwards upon her men."

"Yes, I could see how that could be," he agrees, troubled but nodding.

As for what happened after we finally managed to get down to the tomb after Sigin won was.....weird. It appears that King Arthur down there actually did come back from the dead and had already left! It appears that this particular Arthur was none other than the great- great to the nth power grandfather of my rather odd adopted brother-in-law's, Roland (the Gunslinger). Merlin had hinted at that and such...

As for what Farscape 1, Chritchen's spaceship, was doing over here instead of in the Farscape universe, I gather it was all to do with denying it to Scorpius. Over here means it's one less clue for him to use in his search for wormhole technology, AND if we can get Critchen away quickly enough from that leather bound freak....

Old Scorpy's going to be back to square one if we have any say in it!

But that aside, we also came over here to find up "what the Frell" (as Ragan puts it) has caused those wormholes in the first place!

"But first thing first," Inquirer says softly to herself, drawing several things form various pouches and such, forming what I now know is a Military issue plasma rifle.

A pull of the trigger with flashes of light and the Aurora chair is reduced to slag as a barrage of bolts hits it.

"Where's the sound?" the Brigadier asks, looking at the rifle as she quickly breaks the weapon back into it's component parts and stows them again on her body.

"Military weaponry stands out from other energy weaponry in that it doesn't make any loud 'high tech' noises when fired," I put in from the side as Inquirer suppresses a sigh, "The technology it's based off of never produced weapons like that. Besides, why do energy weapons need to make sound effects like 'zap' and such?"

"Good....question," the Brigadier says slowly, turning to the Doctor, "Why did every energy weapon make....."

"I'll explain later," the Doctor says, cutting the befuddled man off, "We have work to do."

Yeah, things we must do indeed. Things like see about getting back that other Time Lord tech from Scorpy before he can abuse it. There wasn't much left according to Merlin, but we need to find out what he got before we begin to feel comfortable. Things like getting that tissue sample for this Sun woman. Things like finding out the root cause of the wormholes (which I fear has something to do with those explosions).

"Things like rescuing a few people," I mutter to myself after a quick tricorder scan.

At least the potion that Sigin's force fed down John's throat (a rather strong but vile tasting heal potion) is doing it's trick. Guy's body jack knifes as he tries to cought it back up. Too late, of course, it's already dissolved into him upon entering his mouth....

He's looking better already, if I don't saw so myself.

Too bad the after-taste will be with him for a month.....

"What the....cough....Frell?" he mutters, looking around.

He goes quiet when he sees us all.

"Ah shit," he mutters softly, wide eyed.

Area clear for now and so safe, for now.

  1. "A Stark, a grey girl, and a PK tech girl," I sing to myself, "Oh my!"
