Sigin "That's the plan," says the Professor. So, in we go... But while we go, we do not go immediately into the funeral parlor! See, when we spoke with Dr. What, he said it had appeared that during his first incarnation he had somehow made arrangements with the funeral parlor to arrange for the Hand of Omega to be buried. He'd had no memories of such, but then again he'd said that at that late stage in his first incarnation he'd been....getting worn down and . . . . well . . . . old. . . . for lack of a better word. Sometimes he'd make small slips, he admitted, during that period. Things like back on Skaro where he'd mistakenly called that medication cure for radiation sickness "radiation gloves". There were other little slips and "blips" that had made the business of mystery funeral only odd. Do remember Dr. One, having been youthened by his experiences back on Galifrey, saying something about how much better his memory was because of that.... Whatever the case, I remember the personality and looks well enough for this next part. "Now, if you would wait one moment," I say, pulling over to a doorway that was secure from prying eyes, "We must, by needs, hurry for the plans to unfold the way we wish....." Now, with myself magically disguised as the Doctor in his first incarnation, I and the others walk into the parlor. I make arrangements with the funeral attendant for a quick burial in a bit....but first I and the others wanted to pay our respects to the departed. Alone. Actually had to make that clarification to the rather nosy fellow. now, while I'm sure most of his customers would not mind the attention (being dead ), but still... Glad that the Professor is making sure the fellow stays put while they all wait for the blind vicar to arrive to arrange for the burial. Oh, we could have just done it through the attendant....but not as quickly.... Being swift is what I and the others would like to be, you see. Rather would enjoy taking care of a deadly Dalek before it blasts any soldiers and such out at I.M. Forman's (yes I.M.) yard at 76 Totter's Lane. We arrived early to prevent such things, you see.... As it is, I am rather happy to have the extra aid in him, the Professor. While I must admit I don't think much of his sense of dress style (still much better than his last incarnation....if I remember correctly). If I also remember correctly, Betty said that in the TV version of the Doctor he regains a rather good dress sense yet again. ...... That and she smiled a bit as she seemed to remember, I feel, how that Timelord looked in that incarnation. Well.... Well, at least the Professor appears to not take issue about my good dress sense...as what I detected as he looked at his supposed younger self. Like to think that it means that he knows who's the best dressed around, but.... Nevermind... After making sure we will not be interrupted, I assume my normal human form as the Professor, knowing something now at what to possibly expect, has gotten that bat that Ace was carrying in her rump sack and is having me have the Hand "upgrade" it. That proves to be rather quick. All of those magically disguised resume their more normal forms (drawing a decided effort from Ace to not stare at the elves). When that faerie comes out, she'll probably be unsteady and such....and a bit short tempered, even. Those of faerie hate to be lied to in any way, shape, or form and I fear that she may take the magical disguises as such before we can explain ourselves. "We all understand what to do?" I query, making sure we all are on the same page. Seems that not all are, though.... "I'm a little confused about what the plan is now, though." Ace asks, looking over at me, "Presumably this 'funeral"' we're about to attend is a parallel of the one from 'Revelation,' where the Doctor buries the Hand for the Daleks to find. But don't we need to use the Hand themselves, to free the Faerie woman from the necklace? Aren't we going to do that first, or is the idea basically to go through the (presumably rather altered by the Betty's foreknowledge) events of the episode first and worry about the necklace later?" Well," I explain quickly, "We had been rather rushed in explaining things on the way over here. See.... I explain that the basic idea is for the Hand to be used to free the Faerie (hopefully not taking too long) and then go through those events. That is the idea, anyway. But while one part of the group is seeing to the faerie and the Hand, the others (like the Professor) will be going about to make arrangements for some time in the near future for that burial (presumably after the faerie is freed). Secretly, I fear that what will come next, while it shall take just as long as Ace's bat, will take more out of the Hand by far. As grand as the Hand is...I rather doubt that Omega had ever imagined it being used this way as he sat designing the wondrous device..... In goes the pendant into the glowing mist of the Hand.....and out comes the fairy woman, little wings buzzing madly. I almost don't hear it as the Hand, who'd been hovering up until now, thumps to the ground. The mist is now only dimly glowing. Yes, it took a lot out of the Hand and it shall have to actually recuperate a bit before anything more.... Wild , green cat-eyes look around at us all as she lands on Ace's shoulder...which slowly change then into more human seeming eyes. She looks over at Grailing as he looks back.....seems to form a question on her lips.... Then, it all catches up with her and she faints.....right into my outstretched hands. Good grief, I say to myself, The fairy woman is a recent changling like Triakoth had been....and seemed to be an analog of one of our own if I guess aright from that look she gave right before she fainted! Would hate to see any woman (fairy or otherwise) hit the ground without at least attempting to halt the collapse. Would not be the gentlemanly thing to do, you see. I put her inside a specially prepared "bag of holding" (that is set up something like a room with doll sized furniture), for her to recover and recoup for a bit.....
"Is she okay?" Ace asks, worried.
