I give the "undercover" guards of Rassilon a skeptical look, remembering just how uneffective they can be sometimes.... B'elanna Having found my soulmate ten years ago and living with him ever since, I've grown proficient in reading his body language and figuring out what's on his mind without having to ask. The glance over at the now bristling security folks of Rassilon says volumes about what he thinks of them. Actually, I find I have to agree with him. Back before my reincarnation as an elfin woman, I had thought (before meeting Tuvok, Security Chief of the Voyager, curing me of that misconception) that nobody was worse at security work than those brave folks in Star Fleet Security (fondly known as the "Red Shirts" by some). Indeed, having spoken with the current CO of Babylon 5 (a Susan Ivanova), her opinion of them before Admiral Calhoun's and Admiral Sisko's revamping of the system....had verged on the obscene. Hmm, actually at the time, from what I hear, she'd been in a fine mood indeed when it had come up on conversation. Rumor had it that she had just been turned down (and good) in her private advances on one of the Uhura's..... Nevermind.... Surely they can't be that incompetent, really. In fact, after a bit of back and forth between them and my group (headed up by Inquirer and Elrondir), we learn that they might be somewhat...awkward in some things, but at least they aren't totally hopeless. They had, politely, gone through the list of people who'd have access. Standard, professional procedures they'd used....and kudos to them! They actually came across the fellow who aided Omega in this theft. Wonder of wonders, I get the distinct feeling that whoever this Council Member is they say the accomplice was, that it isn't someone that Betty and Ragan saw in the TV show! "Guess that's good," I say softly to myself, "Never liked that fellow, really. Could have been that one friend of the Doctor who is still in the Supreme Council, so we lucked out there." Don't think the Doctor would have liked a friend betraying him. Ah, probably didn't happen that way in the TV show....but right now I'm not in a mood to ask. Anyway, while under interrogation (no....no Mindprobe), the twinkie actually blabbered all. Saying her sympathy was for Omega, who he had betrayed by all of Galifrey...and even Rassilon! Talk about nerve, given Rassilon's friendship with Omega in the past! Guess this woman felt that the dark rumors about Rassilon being not such a nice fellow (as the history books make him out to be) in the past were believed..... Well, that aside, in addition to the theft of the Doctor's Bio Data this woman also stole some kind of device that uses hydrogen..... Probably why Betty is suggesting for looking for some kind of water pumping station in some kind of garden plot in Amsterdam. That and possibly look for some tourist campers (one who's gotten "whammied" as my husband put it by Omega to do his bidding). Given the size of this city....we may have our work cut out for us. I think that Ragan's suggestion on checking out the Police station (where that "whammied" fellows friend might show up sooner or later to file a missing person's report) is our best bet. "Sounds about right," Rugen agrees with Ragan, "But think I better get to making my way over to my magery lab in order to set up that wish list."
