Time Lord's mind.
The Doctor pauses and looks back into the young seeming eyes (an illusion
belayed by the knowledge their owners had garnered through two thousand
years of life). Concern is etched on his and the other's faces.
The Time Lord pauses, nodding and remembering just how special these
Companions were. Indeed, they would and could come and aid......
It always is open.....and thank you, the Time Lord sends back....along
with a brief flash of just why he must go and do what he is to do.
To gauge the insanity of the machine so that the cure will be sufficient.
Alone because while Xoanon might attempt to kill the Doctor......the
mad machine will definitely kill any who dare follow without permission!
And into the belly of the beast the Doctor went......
A flash of scenery inside is just as Betty and Ragan remember from the
TV show (albeit a bit more.....sturdy than some of that shaky scenery from
the sci-fi classic....and perhaps a bit more detailed in some parts.....)......and
the door closes.
Some of those from the Doctor's group "piggyback" in (with mental shields
up to block any "blowback") and watch as others keep eyes and ears alert
for Tesh as......
Inside the Sacred Heart
A bright light flashes down upon the Doctor and a high pitched whiring
sound begins.
The Doctor recognizes it for what it is.......a scanning beam.
