She could consult Malin, but something about the fellow just rubbed
her the wrong way! Oh, he was polite and proper, but there was just something
of the arrogant one within him. Something similar to her brother (before
he was banished for an unforgivable crime) came to mind.....a sense of
something of the spoiled child....
Astra 8 felt Malin was a braggart.....
That wasn't fair on Malin, but Astra's senses told her that Malin wasn't
the type of man she would call a friend. Oh, she was sure that the man
was loyal....but she'd not suffer a braggart (even IF he had been able
to restore Anina to this state.....)
But what to do?
"I guess I could pray....." Astra begins....drawing a curious look from
Anina (who had quietly been waiting for Astra to tell her to do something).
Astra snaps her fingers, and then laughs.
While she considered herself a good Christian, she had little real hope
in something that approached divine intervention. A favor from on high.
But she knew of one man....a Paladin from Ethiopia (who was not popular
with the Queen for reasons that Astra 8 hadn't looked into as of yet) who
was visiting from the recently acquired city of Walants. Nathias of the
House of John, former King of Ethiopia, was a very DEVOTE man.....and perhaps
if Astra 8 was able to perhaps send a prayer up Above......
Well, it might work.....
It isn't like the Lord was at Nathias' beck and call, but there tended
to be a..... tendency for some good things to come to Paladins who pray.....
Later, Nathias nods and smiles at the request from the General of Aqualaria.
"I do not see why I should object to making a humble request to
the Lord," the paladin says. "Though Anina is a pagan.....I think that
a prayer from both of us should would not hurt.....for it is of
a good cause."

Perhaps something
will be found form this to "rekindle" the fighting spirit within Anina?
