Encounter in the Blighted Forest

Meanwhile this world's Sigin asks: "What are you people doing here? Who are you? I thought I knew all the dragons in this region, but it seems not." His questions are addressed to the two dragons and their passengers, not to the centaurs. For one thing, he can see that the latter are too disorientated at the moment for him to get a sensible answer out of them. For another, he knows from his researches that for two centaurs to appear out of a Transform Door was just the sort of weird thing that tended to happen in the Blighted Forest.

"We're here by accident," Dragon Synizn tells him. "We had attempted to avoid the Blighted Forest, but got caught up in its magic field. And then we found that we had a choice between landing here or crashing. As it was, it wasn't the most elegant of landings. So what brings you here then, Sigin?"

That disconcerts Sigin a little, as Dragon Synizn had intended.
