Dragoness Astra "Well," I say, " as I understand it it's like this... The Key will never be used to unlock the Dark Tower." "Yes yes," Annafrid sighs, shaking her head a bit vexed. "I know that the Rules and Agents made it impossible for that Key to actually unlock the heart of the Dark Tower, but the Key will BE used in future negotiations with all that blasted Interoffice politics. You just have know that the Rules and Agents are rather upset that this Key ever existed in the first place. It encroaches on their Offices, after all, and They are rather territorial, you know." "The are at that," I agree. "Pardon the misunderstanding." Semantics can be such a pain in the rear and I fear that I am at fault for the misunderstanding! Hey, stop staring! It's rude and mistakes happen, even by dragons! .... That's a joke. .... Nevermind. I then go onto explain that in our Quest briefing a bit more "behind the scenes" information was shared. I and my love learned that there was some kind of Negotiation in the works and the Key's existence (part of some larger affront, actually, from long before even the Doctor had become a Champion) would still have enough....just enough "punch" to tip the scales so that some kind of stinging Compensation for Tresspass can be established. If the Champions get enough parts of the Key into the Rules and Agents hands. Just how that compensation will work out will remain to be seen, but I figure it'll happen here pretty soon! Well, back to our part in things. What I learned from the brief was that the essence of the Key components will be removed from the carriers (in this case the demifoxes) and after that they'll be returned to the mortal planes. However, because of some kind of virtue (or curse) of having been Key Components, they're still be stuck as demifoxes. To live and die as they see fit, but live and die as demifoxes
