Why Didn't I Think of That Before?

I only hope that Checkers' people won't try to kill her first and only get around to asking questions afterwards. Perhaps as an oriental dragoness she'll be different enough from their idea of a dragon that they won't be so hostile. Or perhaps she'll arrive in a relatively unpopulated area and won't be seen.

But there's nothing that we can do about that just for the moment. We have our hands full with other concerns. First there is the matter of healing our wounded, of course. Secondly, there is the question of just what we should do with this Crystallic. Its power is so great that we can't risk letting it fall into the wrong hands. Our choices are either to get it to destroy itself or to take it somewhere where it can be kept absolutely safe for evermore. It's not easy to find anywhere offering that sort of guarantee, of course.

But back to the matter of our party members' injuries. It suddenly occurs to me that we've got Jenny wearing herself out tending to Jarlath and to some of the others, and Fertal fussing over Artizza, when we've now got this magical artifact that could probably cure everyone in a flash.
