Everything and everybody was happy about the return of Astra, who had
been quickly proclaimed and crowned the rightful Queen of Aqualaria. But
then……a bit after the outdoor ceremony, Astra had made a rather startling
announcement.
Queen Astra throttled down the urge to throttle the stubborn Lords,
Ladies, and others in front of her. Finesse was needed in this situation
to win the battle. Finesse and a deep supply of patience and calm that
she felt was rapidly being depleted by one dowdy lady speaking for the
surviving Aristrocracty of Aqualaria.
"You must be joking," Duchess Linsle says drolly, glancing at the new
Queen and King. "Now, I am truelly please that the rightful heiress to
the Throne has come, you Majesty, but I must object to the idea of this….Outlander
who isn't even of our land's faith…..should be called King!"
Various voices echoing this sentiment……
Zeus and Apollo give me strength, the young woman thought, looking
at the heavens above…..as they flashed turquiose!
Screams and shouts of fear happen at the event. Astra keeps a calm face
about it (and so does Will….who knew when to not tip her hand right then
and there.
"I think," Astra says in a calm, condescending voice. "That the Skyfather,
Zeus, has shown us his opinoin about what you just said, Duchess Linsle.
"Dare anyone tempt His wrath?" the Queen pitches her voice, challenging
the crowd.
Willian la Post became the first King of Aqualaria NOT born of that
land….with no objections….and much fearful praise from those who kept fearful
eyes to the skies!

As Astra and Will dismissed their subjects, they retire for the evening
to their chambers.
The Queen whispered to the King.
"We need to find out what that actually was about!" Astra hisses to
Will.

you, love." Will smiles as he pulls out a green crystal on a necklace…..
