Synizn Synizn casts a timely spell. Yeah, cast a spell and solve a problem. Can almost hear Sigin (whichever one you talk about) lecture me about being overly dependant on magic to solve every problem in one of our weekly "meetings by magical mirror" (the Military folks call it tele-conferencing). Well, he does have a point. Point in fact the reason why I'd become a were-bear in the first place (before finally getting cured and transformed into a demifox in the end) was because I'd got caught flatfooted, figuring that I could have handled any challenge in that lycanthope prone area (on the night of a full moon) by my mighty magic. ..... I actually believed that, at the bottom of it all. OH, I had known, intellectually, such arrogant beliefs were foolish, but still a bit of the fool let me lower my guard. Let me.... Tiamat, what a fool I was then. At least, if nothing else, a little but much needed humility came from it. Magic...sometimes it is not the correct answer to a problem. Then again it.... Yeah, but d*mnit sometimes it makes things so much easier! ..... Right, what I was talking about. Kind of got sidetracked by an arrogant past. Forgive me. Where was I? Ah, yes, different ways of crowd control was something of the topic of the night before we all got caught up in our latest Quests. Now, what I have next to say has bearing on my choice of spells for "crowd control" now, and events I shall get to here in a bit. Bear with me, okay? After all, I right now am telling the tale. Besides, to be truthful, I'd been so startled at the quasi-religious conversion of the bar patrons myself. Maybe not as much as the others (I'd like to think), however.... it was something! So jarred was I that the oddest things flittered through my mind.
