Helen......bear with me for a moment, what I have been through has
been much and I KNOW I have been tardy in speaking with you, but I think
you will understand.
Where to begin? Now there is a very good question! From past discussions,
you know that the Pack....my new friends and....more.....have settled down
in Panaras after having escaped from the Island of Dragon Moreau and having
met some bizarre Golems and Lizardmen (re:1334 and child episodes). I THOUGHT
that I was finally free to actually start to live a life that didn't revolve
around plotting Minestus death.....but now?
It revolves around this........
Drederigo D'Honaire, Duke of Suffex and one time king of Aqualaria,
is muttering to himself in a frantic whisper as the cavern wall rumbles
and fissures open to reveal a tunnel beyond. The duke starts when Fred
calls out to him.
"What?" Fred calls in a mocking voice. "No words of greeting for
your 'beloved' son, Frederigo?"
The Duke pauses, still clearly anxious about something, and turns
to look back at Fred and the group of adventurers. Dull eyes barely register
the fact that he is looking at people who are animals who walk upon their
hind legs or have animal feature. The only human looking person, Probe,
is off to the side....ready to drill Drederigo a new asshole if he tries
anything rash. Further words of warning to surrender or die dies in Alicia's
mouth as she sees.....the drooling idiot before her. Even Fred, who has
dreamed and yearned for this day, is moved to pity at the sight of this
shell of a man before them. Something......has happened.
"Must get to Master," slurs out Drederigo in a thick voice. The dragon's
anger has reached through the golden icon, and damaged the admittedly sharp,
if dark mind of Fred's father. "Dragon call. Dred come! Time to filf....fuf.....keep
up end of deal!"
Fred's and Willian's eyes meet as they both reach the same sickening
conclusion. Sometime in the past, Frederigo D'Honair had made a bargain
with the terrible wyrm.....and now had somehow been burnt as a consequence.
Apparently, somehow the dragon had addled the evil duke's wits, leaving
little but ashs behind. By all appearances, the name of his betrayed son
hadn't even registered. All that had registered was a possible obstacle.
"Then.....go on then," Fred sighs. This shell of a man before him
has already paid for his crimes, but perhaps there was one more thing he
could do.

As the drooling duke smiles
and totters off, Fred explains his plan......
