Now, for the Last Leg....

The Never Ending Quest - episode 19459

Andrea

Brings a warm glow to my heart to see yet another fellow transformee adjust to their new lives without losing their marbles!

Wouldn't recommend it for the ordinary fellow and I sure did not seek out my transfiguration in the end (that fireball that made it needful was not fun at all), but it sure expands the mind by making a person walk a mile in another's shoes, eh? Of course, with this kind of transformation involving the Matrix of a person, it's a rather permanent deal. You'd be probably walking more than a mile if you get caught up in this business...

Ah, but I digress.

I am just rather happy that something had gone relatively well on this mission after a series of misadventures. It shows in how my tail is twitching right now and how my ears are perked up.

Despite everything, we got the messages out and got away without having my friend, Astra, abducted by those rangers!

Now.....

Now what we'll have to maybe face will be any officials (BMC type or actual government kinds) who'll be shifting the ashes of Wallants because that is where our "insertion point" was near, remember. That group of folks we must look out for and any demifoxes who still are looking for their escaped prisoners (like Demifox Astra, Demifox Fred, and Lester).

Yeah, Lester of that Payne gang. While Tarin Gazin is an okay sort, he admitted he had to stand by and watch some rather shady dealings back with "his" Rift. At least he hadn't been asked to do anything mor than just be a bodyguard cum ink blotter. When the demifoxes bought his escape, I doubt that his absence would be unnoticed officially for long. No, the dwarf just was a witness who was trying to make his way in the world, when you get down to it. WAy he saw it was that human beings were human beings and as such will do things that wouldn't be tolerated in dwarven society. Basically, after spending too much time in Wallants the dwarf (now elf) washed his hands on us. Glad Jarlath and the other are able to be a better sampling of humanity. Anyway, at least he hadn't given up on human beings to the point in doing "wet work". No "wet work" was in his job description, as Elrondir put it one time.

......

Heh, after watching that one movie called The Lord of the Rings I rather had fun needling him about the actor who played his namesake also played in The Matrix. Do think he got tired of being called "Agent Smith".

Then again, I think that it was rather silly of me to do that. Just about up there in silliness as when I made the mistake in thinking that The Matrix played some kind of important role in his religion, the Church of Silicon Valley. Point in fact, that movie was actually a running gag in the AI community....

Well, that aside about running gags....do believe that I and Synizn will take a little run! It's deep in the forest still and we should be okay.

Happy with things right now, but I have to say when we do finally catch up in the timeline with the future Doctor and friends who we keep running into en passant (i.e. whoever is bringing the grownup Jenny Elf and the grownup Ti'mma) I'd like to have a few words with him....

Ah, just relax and enjoy the chance to run, Andrea!

  1. And so, with that, I and Synizn shift form to stretch the legs after a long ride....
