Andrea Is it just my imagination, or does her gaze linger on Astra 9 for just a moment? Why us? Annafrid While things may be on the up and up and our cover may have not just been blown right here on this bright, sunny day, I have a sinking feeling that the lingering glance Stasia just cast upon Astra. But the sad fact of the matter here is that the gaze which had been traveling away towards the rest of us has snapped back upon Astra! If the mouth falling open isn't a indicator of recognition, I'll eat my sword! Time for a wildcard, I hope.... "Hello Stasia," I say in a polite, neutral tone that hints at annoyance (less than what I really feel), "Where is your fellow Aquilarian ranger, Elicia?" The way the crowd suddenly goes quiet and tense around us tells me that I've accomplished something. Managed to touch off the less than loving feelings that these "business men" have for Aqualarian authority. Meaning that I have bought us some time so.....so..... So I better think of something here quickly. Or rather..... Maybe not.... My partner has stepped forward and waves the rest of us silent. "Let me guess," she drawls, "You think that Andrea here is your missing Princess Astra? Some magic turned her from human do demifox?" The rangers, about ready to ask their question, stare at her instead. Andrea's ears, meanwhile, have quirked up in surprise at that one! Andrea "Rather gutsy move," Gilmuriel says softly to himself so that only those with elfin (or demifox) hearing can overhear, "And somewhat nearer to the truth than what is comfortable, if even the real demifox female in question isn't the demifox vixen spellweaver." "Well, while I admit there is a bit of red in my tail and such," I put in drolly, "I rather doubt they thought that, Aynine!" "We were going to ask if she was....." Sasia manages to say, not liking how thing are panning out here. Go Back
