After a few more seconds of searching, the room is getting rather thick
with smoke. Fred's about ready to order Pall the were-bear to apply his
shoulder to the secret door a statue of some type of manticore when the
tail slides to the right and up. The secret door flashes blue and then
shifts and floats silently out from it's frame and stops. It hovers for
a grand total of ten seconds as the adventurers stare at it, then it slowly
starts to float back.
"Don't just stand there," shouts Fred. "Run!"
The were-folk pile through the door, followed closely by the surviving
humans. The stone door slides closed and seals the passageway with a resounding
THUD!!
The air has a dry, stale taste to it. It is breathable, but the layer of
dust denotes lack of use. Another thing about this passage is that it seems
goes on for several hundred yards, then it turns a corner. This passage
also glows, but it is a light from magical globes that flicker on at the
prescence of living beings, not the sickly green glow from whatever devilish
device the Enemy has devastated Gilgil with. Belinna softy cries in reaction
to all that has gone on, and Synizn lends a comforting shoulder to cry
upon. Soon as they gather themselves enough to continue (fuller grieving
will be done latter in safer clines), they run as quickly as the slowest
member can manage. The trip proves to be mercifully quiet, leaving the
adventurers to their own thoughts.
Soon, after going through the tenth stone portal that moves magically
out of their way, they find the last stone portal is glowing…..but seems
to be jammed!
"Pall," Fred sighs heavily. "I could use your help here."

It takes the combined strength
of the adventurers to get the door open. Blessed sunlight...
