| Feeling refreshed, our adventurers awaken and face a new day. They
talk about the best course of action to take once they leave, but ONE issue
is a must. One problem that MUST be done before they even attempt to leave....
"We've GOT to try to to at least try to let them know we are alive!"
Alicia says, and all furry heads shake in agreement....even the head of
Synizn. The former dragon feels that that a certain silver furred werewolf
was probably ready to chase his own tail, figuritivly as well as literally.
Loam didn't need that kind of aggrivation.
"I....might be able to do something," the were-bear says. "Just give
me a second to prepare....this could be rough."
Actually, fifteen minutes latter, the were-bear is ready. Fred raises
an eyebrow at the sight of all the magical equipment laid out on the small
table. Incense is burning and strange looking candles are lit. Fred's hackles
raise a bit in rememberance at what happened to his brother, Charles, in
his mad magical quest for fire. Fred had at least worked with a mage that
he had come to trust and admire....so his fears of magic had been blunted
to a great extent.
After fifteen minutes of heavy chanting, the communication crystal flashes
a strobelike bolt of light, and cracks. The were-bear grabs the sides of
the table to stop himself from collapsing. Various nicknacks rattle and
shake, then the mage pushes himself upright again.
"I....was at least able to send a pulse back to Loam's communication
crystal to let him know that we are okay," the bear sighs. "More than that....I
just can't seem to do!"

Loam yelps as the communication crystal around his furry neck grows
uncomfortably warm. Then....nothing. The pro-tem leader of the Pack then,
after having a long discussion with Carradene, finally smiles. But it's
a smile tempered with worry....and it doesn't last long.
"Fred," sighs the huge werewolf. "I just hope that you are alright wherever
you are, because WE sure don't know where you guys are....."
