Fred smiles as he leaves the bridge of the small yacht. In the short
time that the werefolk had left their island cum prison, they had shaped
up to be credible sailors. Of course, that was due in some part to the
fact that they had been in literal sink or swim situation.
Loam looks up as Fred comes through the door of the Captain's cabin.
It was cramped for three normal people. While Fred and Alicia aren't much
larger than they were as humans, before their transformation, Loam was
a different matter. He had grown quiet a bit taller and more massive with
his induction to the world of lycanthropy. For the most part, he had no
real problems with it, but . . . . .
"Could we please HURRY up?" Loam mutters. "Not only is this room cramping
my style, it's cramping my friggin body!
"Hey, you wanted in on this discussion." Alicia chuckles while stroking
her tail absently. Then she reaches over and brushes the furry cheek ruff
of Fred as he sits down. They both smile, and then look annoyed as Loam
breaks out in laughter. Loam quickly regains control, and . . . . .
"So when will the wedding be?" quips Loam. "Will I be invited?"
"Loam!" Alicia says in a severe voice.
"Oh come on!" Loam drawls. "Hey, news gets around you know. It isn't
a big secret that Fred's been serenading you by the moonlight. Hey, there's
even a pool betting when you two will tie the knot! And the way that you
two ran and laughed as you were on that island we restocked at. Well, we
all seemed to be enjoying ourselves more than what I thought possible."
"It's too soon to post banners, Loam." Fred mutters.
(Yeah, but it won't be too long, if I'm any judge of character!) Loam
chuckles to himself as he watches the two lovebirds clasps hands one last
time before getting down to business. (Sheeze, how lovey dovey!)
"You know, we did seem to like running around more than I thought we
had any right to......" Fred says thoughtfully. "Also, I've been talking
with Alicia about the last night of the full moon."
"Really?" Loam asks, making a face. Talking about what happens on the
night when the beast was upon you was considered bad form. Then Loam's
frown deepens, that last night had been strange........ "Maybe . . . you
should tell me what happened. I had a strange night, myself . . . . something
about me being called Silver fang. Worried the bejeebers about that for
a while. I was also . . . . well, don't tell anyone . . . a touch frightened
that night........"
Alicia and Fred tell what they experienced, and all three sit silently
as they mull it all over. Finally . . . . .
"Carradene should get in on this," Alicia says. "He's the best . . .
well, the only magic user we have. I think there's more to your changed
lycanthropy than just not going Forsaken." The others nod in agreement.
