"But the catalyst for the Admirals conscience....his crusading attitude
was the birth of Probe," Agent 1 put in, "that and leading to what would
eventually lead to the final split between the Company and the Military
on many timelines....."
Probe frowned, remembering the rumors that Admiral had been flagging in his moral convictions....thinking to jettison some of his morals to better be able to fight the Enemy. But apparently when the Company insisted that Probe was nothing but property.....not a person back when the AI awoke forty years ago it galvanized the Admiral into doing the correct thing....not the easy thing. The Military confiscated the AI....as well as the research and manufacturing facility from the Company to deny the Company the ability to make more AI as articles of property. It had been the only thing that the Admiral could do. It had also driven a wedge between Company and Military. Corny as it sounds it appears that incident shaped the Military then on into being so big on honor and doing the right thing, Li'reth thinks to herself, seeing it. "That didn't sit well with the Demons so they AGAIN manipulated the drone Rules in a Star Trek universe to become agitated and do something similar to what a human would do when a bug bites him," Rule 1 says, "The Q had been doing their thing with bending causality and time.....and the Rule for that universe......" Rule 1 paused....looking sad. "The Q was.....destroyed?" Solomon whispered, horrified. "We were wondering about that," the Angel says softly. "We were able to transfer them to other universes to begin anew....but....." "Their primary function....as guardians was left open and undone," Rule 1 sighed, "the Enemy was able to finally find this universe instead of being deflected by the Q." Go Back
