"I think we've found our Astra by the color of her hair," the hamadryad
observes as Dragon Fred levitates the prone form and takes back to the
main group around the TARDISes......
A bit later..... Okaaaay, this is interesting...... Li'reth thinks to herself as she and her sister watch as the others talk. Astra 8a is still out cold, via a sleep spell, and is also magically hovering five feet off the ground as the others try to sort a few things out. It even got a bit more hectic when Fredrina (having requested prior to arriving to play messanger to update Dr. Who's group of happenings back in Terra Prime) brings yet another Fred and Astra couple (Astra 12 and Fred 12) into the picture. After a brief discussion Duke Drederick and Fredrina explains to Fred 8 and Jarlath what has been happening (go to the "As the Fur Flies" website for the plot summaries)..... they get inducted into the House of D'Honaire and Thessamer. And of course they accept it and welcome it without a hitch, Li'reth smiles to herself, hugging Ke'lan fondly, Astra 12 and Fred 12 can't return home due to conflicts in quests that they find they can no longer do.....Fred 8 is so far in love with Astra 8.....what with her coming in and saving his very soul..... and seeing that she loved him and all. Fred 8 will go wherever Astra 8 goes out of love. Something as an elf can understand in matters of the heart. As for Jarlath....well, the boy is a bit odd, but as I see it....despite the fact that Drederick really isn't his father, Charles....the boy so much wants Drederick to be his father that Drederick is his father in some mystical....eldritch reasoning of his. At least the boy's happy! The fact that a mother he'd never really gotten to meet is here also is an added bonus to the ecstatic. Oh, it's tempered by the memory of the danger that the....er....other Andrea is under....but right now!..... He no longer was living life backwards! He no longer was being forced by....whatever....to act out scenes he'd been fed from that night the Tower burned down. All this and being able to see his brother, Fred 8....free from the Hell curse he'd been under! Somebody up there actually cared! He was sure of it, now. A frenzy of activity draws all their attention. Astra 8a is awake, and is frantically scrambling futilely in the air, trying to get down! "Time for the cure," Evis 7 says softly. "Too bad this world's Belboz couldn't get the mixture right for all the trouble that journal tells of. Guess you don't send a necromancer to do an apothecary's job....." Magical examinations had revealed the one portion that induced a healing slumber had been a touch too strong....knocking Astra 8a out before she could conquer the beast within her.... Be that as it may, it was agreed that even the best of magical potions needed the subject to be awake to take it. That entailed somebody force feeding the currently unwilling Astra 8a the potion (time was of the essence with the Unseelie about). The Golems agreed to do it, since they were the most resistant to injury. A few cuts and abrasions later, and a statically placed blow to induce swallowing causes the wolf woman to give off one last despairing howl..... Go Back |
