"Wha . . .what is THIS?!" Fred screams, looking down in horror at his
new body. Strange thing is, what comes out of his mouth are a bunch of
high pitched yips and growls, the sounds a fox would make, but his mind
automatically translates it into his home tongue.
"What am I going to do?" whines Fred, tail drooping as he sits listlessly
on a nearby log. He hasn't cried in years, but he feels tears well up in
his eyes and roll down his furry cheeks.
"Well, you can pull yourself together for one, and come with me." a
female voice says (also in yips and barks) behind him. Fred feels his hackles
rise in shock as he spins around, tail trashing!
"Ah, another male, and a fine specimen at that." the vixen morph yips,
appraising Fred, and lingering in . . . . places. "I see you ran into the
Dragon Mage Minestus, and he practiced his own pacular form of biological
philosophy on you."
"Biological philosophy?!" sputters Fred, ears swivling forward in confusion.
"Minestus is rather odd, even for a dragon." the vixen morph says. "He
sees some 'potential' in the human form, but thinks that he can improve
on the basic design, and that humanity needs to lead a 'simpler' life in
order to survive, and so . . . ." The vixen waves her hands at her own
body and Freds. The vixen also has a digititred set of legs, but her form
is very . . . . human looking (in a female sense). Also, she has the most
startling set of green eyes that Fred has ever seen. "We can't wear clothing,
because it's just too bloody uncomfortable . . . . while this form doesn't
really NEED clothing . . . . except for modesty sake. Also, you notice
that you aren't speaking your native tongue? Minestus changed something
in you mind that turns all attempts at speech into a bunch of yipping and
yapping. Prevents intelligent conversation between us and any humans that
would ever come to this island . . . . where ever that is! Also, I see
you trying to write something in the dirt, but . . . "
"I . . . can't!" groans Fred.
"Another little block that the dragon set up." the vixen morph says
with simpathy. "Wants his creations to live a simpler, less clutter life
it said! Me, I was a Princess in a far off land, here . . . . were all
just lab subjects!"
"Well, I'm Sir Fred, I . . . was a knight on a quest to kill the dragon,
but . . ." Fred shrugs. "What's your name, and you said that there were
others?"
"Alicia." the vixen morph says. "And the others are this way, . . .
."
