| The young red headed girl is the first to awaken from the stasis spell,
and looks around at her strange surroundings.....and feels utterly alone!
Before her stands marble statues of the only person in the world left
alive that this young girl loves, along with a.....disturbingly familiar
looking young woman that had been with Anina.
Brave though the nine year old Astra Thessamer is, she still is only
nine. Therefore, though crying is frowned upon in her native Aqualaria......
AND since it seems like her last chance at something approaching what she
had before her life fell apart.....
The young girl had been heart broken at the news of her mentor's disappearance.
She'd watched her friends and family slaughtered in front of her. She finally
does a very human thing.
She begins to bawl her heart out, hugging the stiff figure before her
as her heart was breaking!
She then pauses as she finally notices two groups of people staring
at her....at the statues.....and in askance at each other.
The young peasant lass is the first person young Astra speaks to. It
isn't due to the fact that this young woman has a face of an angel that
is framed with a cloud of coppery blond hair and ice blue eyes. It isn't
her mode of dress or height. The young lass stood only about four feet
ten inches tall, and weighed - Astra guessed - not much more than ninety
pounds. She wore a plain brown dress such as peasant most girls wore in
Malbacton, with ankle socks and sandals.
Rather, it was the incredibly beautiful unicorn that is obviously smitten
with this peasant lass that has drawn Astra's attention! She'd heard that
maidens could tame the wild unicorn, but details of just what being a "maiden"
had been....hard to get (her parents kept on coughing in embarassment and
looking......like they didn't want to speak about it due to her age!)
