| Fred thought for one terrible moment that someone must have stolen
the Crystallic and left the container in its place. Then he decided that
it would be just too much of a coincidence for what was left behind so
exactly to match what Astra had just described. It must be some magic effect
of the Crystallic itself. Perhaps it would adopt any disguise that its
possessor might suggest.
He wasn't sure what would happen if the dwarf tried to drink some of the "soft ale". Would that mean that Tarin would have part of the Crystallic inside himself?
