And to make a nervous situation even MORE unstable, a platoon of strange
human's that look . . . . disturbingly similar, step out of the clearing.
They are dressed in clothing that has a uniform cut to it, but seem to
be a patchwork of mud color and several shades of green. They also are
carrying strange weapons that look similar to some of the weapons the pirates
are carrying, but of a sleeker, deadlier design!
"Charlie Unit one, this is Bravo three, we found the source of the disturbance." one says into a box like device about the size of a low cut show. "It is . . . a bunch of humanoid animals and some rejects from a pirate movie." The device . . . speaks back to the human, much to Fred's and everyone else surprise. The man has to repeat himself several times before the device seems to believe him. What manner of men are these?! And . . . . they DON'T smell like humans, despite appearances. One of them turns and faces the werefolk, and they gasp when they see that . . . half of it's face has been torn away, revealing a metallic skull beneath. "Golem!" a fearful gasp goes through the group. These must be the magical constructs of legend that eventually turn on their creator, and then all humans around them. They were EXTREMELY dangerous! "Sir, we are ready for a partical cannon shot!" the device squakes. What is this acrane thing that they are talking about? "Roger that." the man says. "Go." A bright light flashes out of the sky, and strikes the area that the werefolk know is the lair of the Dragon Mage Minetus. With the flash of light, a wave of vertigo. "God in Heaven, what was THAT?" the pirates and the werefolk say in unison. They then look at each other because . . . . the werefolk were understandable. That dragon's spell was broken. Didn't seem to do a thing for their lycanthropy, however. "Folks, I'd just settle down." the strange golem/man says to the nervous group. "We're just here to mine a little tiberian. But . . . .
