Where does magic come from in NEQ?

Story wise, I've had to struggle with not having a wizard come in and Dues Ex Machina up the place

Kind of late to answer, but I will anyways

It really depends on which ever thread you want. Some might consider magic a god aiding a mortal man. Others will consider items such as bat guano having magical properties.
