In the threads that she's a princess, I tend to imagine her as somebody who would say "To hell with the royal laws" in order to get something done on a quest. Would this be an accurate portration of her, or again, is this another case where it really depends on the thread?

That accords with how I see her. She's more concerned with keeping to the spirit of the law than to the letter.

Well her personality does change from author to author.

Although it should be kept within what the author's have established within the storyline so far. I mean, Astra's not going to scream, "I hate you!" in one episode and then kiss Fred the next. (Unless he saves her life or something along those lines.)
