False "members" on the bulletin board?

It appears that the last two accounts to sign for the bulletin board may have done so to tout their websites. "BuckJones" has had his website suspended (presumably for abuse), and "LorieKennedy's" website URL looks suspicious to me.

Thoughts?

It looks like you're right. It seems a very ineffective way of plugging a website.

I've removed the members in question. Thanks for bring them to my attention. I have configured the board to help prevent future abuse of this nature by requiring people creating new accounts to prove they are human by use of a Captcha.

Hopefully this will solve the problem.

It looks like we have another one. "Lally" has registered with nothing but a website, which has been frozen due to a violation of terms.

So it seems that the website was frozen even before he/she could plug it here. :) However it's just possible that there is a more innocent explanation, so it may be premature to jump to conclusions.

I don't get it. Why's it a big deal whether the person is human or not?

I think the idea is to prevent "bots" signing up in order to post spam messages here.
