Oh no! No! Noise Tank, that's all wrong! Kenders are from D & D, not Middle Earth! Jeepers!

Hmm... well I guess I don't really mind. Though it will certainly drive purists into fits of frothing madness, it agrees with my idea of the Black Void as a place where different realities collide. And it certainly makes my job easier if I don't have to follow the spirit of the Tolkien world to the exact letter.

Some branches of the "Sarah the Elf" story don't have any Middle Earth references, and so could be set somehere else. Were the kender perhaps added in one of those branches?

I don't believe so... hope so... because I would feel stupid doing all that ranting if it was otherwise? I dunno... may have to doublecheck...

But as I mentioned, why can't Kender be in Middle Earth? Heck, maybe Tolkien just never mentioned them.
