Ryu, I just wanted to say that this is a seriously cool thread. I liked it even more because I've been studying Mencius and all that stuff for one of my classes recently.

I confess that I'd never heard of Mencius, and assumed that it was a made up name. A Web search has now made me a little more well-informed.
I might not have bothered to say that, but I saw that it would give me the one thousandth post to this board.

Thanks! The thread isn't really all that great, but I just find the idea of warrior philosophers to be really funny. Glad to share it. BTW, some of the philosophy in that episode comes from Friedrich Nietzche, another philosopher I like. He was stark raving mad, and full of it, but his stuff is fun to read.
