List of available choices

Post by JoshB »

Sometimes I wonder why I see a predefined set of choices that seems rather silly.

For example Episode 310:

1. And that's when something really unexpected happens.
2. And that's when someting really expected happens.
3. And that's when something happens that's not really expected but isn't really a surprise either.
4. Or maybe it is.
5. It's so hard to tell these days, with bodysnatchers in bunnies in casinos in doors in supermarkets.

Ok, the first two make sense. So does the third one. What about the next two? They just seem stupid to me. We could do without them especially when we have the Add an option choice.

What does everyone think?

I would argue that all of the options listed are stupid. The whole episode is even stupider. And the author of said episode is definitely the stupidest. That being said, if you don't like the episode or the options listed then I guess maybe just - oh, I dunno - @#*%ing deal with it!!!!!!!!!!!!! :x

I will say this, though. I will try and keep the silliness to a minimum. I wrote that episode very late one night and at the time I thought it was kinda funny. Okay, I'll tell you what - I'll at least change the last option cause it is really, really....really dumb.

And I understand your grief being you spent a lot of time writing the starting episodes for the story and don't want it to degenerate into a bunch of crap. Which is why I'm kind of wondering why ya'll haven't banned me from the sight. :P

Yours isn't the only silly episode in that thread, Ib. I don't think mine's any better.

We all have been guilty of submitting something that we initially thought was funny or good and in retrospect it wasn't. It makes no sense banning someone just because one or two of his/her submissions are below par.

I am not asking that the episode in question be modified or deleted. I was trying to find out what everyone thinks.

Let's strive for high quality submissions from now on, folks. This is all I ask.

I will do so, Josh. And your episode is fine, TCO. It's actually the best episode ever. So there.
