Hello, MSG. Say, I like your new Neon Genesis Evangelion story. I watched most of that show but never saw the ending (stupid Comcast On-Demand...).

I guess the big question now is, how do you pronounce "Evangelion"?

Hi Ryu,

Glad you liked the story! Nice to know that I'm not writing for nobody out there. :)

Hear you on the Comcast situation for the anime. Kind of frustrating, that business.

That said, the end of Evangelion . . .are we talking about the last few episodes which were in my humble opinion rather confusing and out and out hard to follow or are we talking about the movie "ending". The first, while confusing, ended on a positive note (though I didn't care much for it). As for the other, while it went into greater detail (and didn't necessarily contradict the ending episodes), it ended on more of a down note. Either way, you might note that as per usual the Champions came end and REALLY derailed the script.

Anyway, as for the way to pronounce "Evangelion" as far as I pronounce it? Well, I heard and pronounce it thus:

Long E with the emphasis on the E.
Van as in the vehicle.
Gel as the liquidy solid stuff found in Dr. Shoal's gel shoe pads.
Lion as in the feline hunter of Africa's plains.

:)

Yup, that's rather what I suspected. Somewhere I read that the first "E" was pronounced like "I", but I think that's wrong.

And yes, Comcast is quite frustrating for anime fans, but its still a better deal than shelling out $30 on an anime DVD just to find out its some kind of crap. This way at least one can find out which shows are good before buying them.

Heh, finally got around and updated my website with new bios for the newest members (or sisters) of the Dr. Who/Neon Genesis Evangelion. Or at least *updated* bios for some of it...
