Time between parent and child episodes

Post by Lots42guest »

Seeing as we've been around for at least half a decade or more (man!) I got to wondering. It could be at least five years between one episode being created and someone continuing it.

I wonder if it's even possible to find the largest gap.

All the episodes are dated, so it should be pretty easy to extract all the dates and do some simple calculations. It could even be done from 'outside' working with the web pages, but would probably be better done as an 'internal' job with direct access to the database.

And then you could use a similar method to find the oldest unfinished episode and break the record! ;)

BTW, my latest addition to the Quest looks like a pretty good candidate. Its parent was written in October 2000!
[edit: 5233's parent is even older. 5 years, 5 months anda bit more than 5 days...]

I'd just like to give you a slightly belated welcome, Won-Tolla. If you think that it's a bit quiet around here, I think it's mainly because of the time of the year.
