Eating Amy

Post by Knight Random »

Is anyone else getting a little annoyed by those episodes that anonymous author writes where Amy is constantly getting eaten? They're getting rather disturbing and repetitive to me, kind of like Karen Ford V2.0. It seems like this is her only purpose as a character. What's more, I get the sense that the author is writing these episodes one-handed.

I can't say that I 'm very keen on the constant emphasis on being eaten, but the episodes are quite well written, and wearing my moderator hat I can't see any reason to edit or delete them based on their content. I can understand your not liking them, but the best thing for you to do is probably to ignore them.

I've noticed this as well. The author seems to have a gastronomic fetish that ranges from the vaguely amusing (41452) to the downright demented (37102). And it's not limited to just culinary delights - the poor girls get killed in all sorts of imaginative ways, like fire, poison, drowning, etc. Of course, I cannot cast stones, since I've written some fairly sadistic episodes myself. I like to give the characters a fighting chance though.

Still, like JH, I say there's no reason to do anything. The fellow is probably a quite normal office employee of some kind, using Extend-a-Story as an outlet for his odd tendency that he can't express in any other way. And if he's some sort of hideous troll, living in his parents' basement and sniffing glue while downloading kiddy porn, then the FBI will take care of it. Natch!
