He can't tear himself away from that Fallout video game, evidently...
This is true. When you can wear a bulletproof bathrobe and roam the wasteland, stealing things and shooting monsters and romancing fine women and flinging corpses off of skyscrapers...well, hell. It's practically Horsehockey The Video Game.

By the way...

There's still no news, and Reaibn still hasn't answered any messages from me. Curiously, I posted a Facebook status unrelated to Horsehockey that he liked, so he's still alive.

So, until he says for certain that he's not interested or able in keeping the site going, assume that he's just really busy and will get around to it eventually.

Thanks, Ben. It's good to know that at least he's alive, but I'm unimpressed by his total failure to communicate with us to let us know what is going on.

Ironically, today, he liked my link about Twitter closing down Vine.

I've just found that the Internet Wayback Machine does have Reaibn's forum archived, must recently from almost 12 months ago. Infuriatingly, if you try to read anything it wants you to login and, unsurprisingly, it doesn't recognise one's old username and password. I wanted to take copies of the various Horsehockey and Never Ending Quest story guides that were posted there. I already have any that I posted myself, but not the ones that Reaibn posted.

The horsehockey.org home page is also on the IWM, but since none of the PHP files have been archived that's not much use.

Checking whois, the domain horsehockey.org is still taken, presumably by Reaibn, so he hasn't let it die completely.

But it would be nice if he actually was answering messages about whether or not the site is coming back, or if he's given up on it.

I tried emailing him yesterday on an old gmail address that I have for him (the one based on his real name rather than as Reaibn). I don't know if he still monitors that address, but at least gmail didn't bounce the email back to me so the account still exists.

Good news! Reaibn has responded to a comment that I left on a Facebook post of his. He says: "ah yes, well i had some stuff come up, ill be in touch with you guys very soon."

I saw that. Hopefully when he contacts us, it'll be some good news.

There is a minor update on my Facebook profile.

Thanks for the heads up. That's encouraging news, though it's a pity that it will be necessary to go back to an old back-up, presumably meaning that the most recent additions to both the addventure and the forum will have been lost.

At this point, unless Reaibn saved everything we posted, I'm more interested in starting over with a clean slate. I know I haven't contributed too much here lately, but I have had an idea or two kicking around for Horsehockey v5.0 over the past week.

Don't worry, it won't be another epic length episode like last time. I still wonder if that was a big catalyst in scaring people off.

There are a handful of stories that I'd hate to see lost. With some of them, I might have enough saved that it would be possible for me to reconstruct them, but it would be quite a lot of work.

I've just discovered, to my surprise, that http://otlforum.blogspot.co.uk/ still exists. Admittedly there hasn't been a post to it since 2012.

Horsehockey V is coming soon. Unfortunately I do not have a backup of HH IV, which grieves me to no end. I am shopping for a web host now.

EDIT: Also, OnTheLine forums will also be returning and will be our home base, with the OnTheLine discord as a backup/easy place to chat. The discord is set up now if anyone wants the link.
