I'm now beginning to like the Black Void more.

Face it, after a while, writing about a knight scaling through a dungeon gets old after a while. Despite the hundreds of different story lines, The Black Void now seems cleaner, less derivitive to the fantasy genre, and fun. I like that the stories also seemed to have matured a bit. Despite the warning, I think it's safe to say the content of this website is above G-rated.

The most popular story seems to be of the slave girl you play as in the desert. That's also the story I'm looking at most as well. I look forward to seeing where it heads.

Glad to hear that you're enjoying it. I don't know whether that story-line is really the most popular, or whether it's just me and my anonymous collaborator writing a lot of episodes.

I'm curious who that unknown writer really is.

Hello to all. I am the "unknown writer" (figured I'd finally create a screen name)

I've enjoyed interactive stories for a while, used to post intermittently on Gav & Peloso when that was still active. Found this place about a year ago. I've added a couple of times to NEQ, but as you said, Black Void is a bit cleaner, a little easier to get into, especailly for newcomers.

As far as the desert girl thread, I certainly didn't anticipate it getting as long as it did, and was surprised at first that JH added to nearly every day. It's as much his story as it is mine, but please feel free to contribute.

A belated welcome to the site. :) It's been fun collaborating with you. I hope that you spotted my most recent addition to our "main" thread, some four or five days ago.

Is it just my imagination, or does the Black Void seem... darker in mood somehow than Neverending Quest?

It does seem to have a bit more darker feel, but that might be due to its name, the darker backgrounds, and more serious episodes.

Somehow, I don't think that this is what I trying to say back then... :?

Anyways, I've found that my favorite story now is with Jacques in the black void. It's a classic eerie mystery, and I'm going to have a good time making story lines from it.
