35971

I placed this episode on the wrong option. I meant to choose 35970, as Fred is looking for ways out of the sealed room in that episode. If it is too difficult to change the link, I can re-write the episode so that it starts with Astra and Fred having a conversation about what may or may not happen t...

35117 Explained

For those not familiar with American football, the Al Davis mentioned in option 2 is the owner of the Raiders, a club that is hated by the fans of both teams mentioned in Ib's 34352. This would give both Astra and Checkers a 'common enemy' to talk about.

You are not too bad - I did extend one of your episodes (see 33458). If I were to make one suggestion, I would recommend that you go back over your old episodes and look for mistakes. This is not a specific criticism of you; I would give this advice to anybody. The nice thing about the NEQ is that i...

Astra 9 Cistyrgia v Tarin Gazin 2

I bumped this, as I see that there are some new contributers, and some established authors for the NEQ are contributing again. This might be a good branch for those who like to try their hand and write about one-on-one combat. This is a branch of the story where a group of immortal Eternal Champions...

27408: The Carriage Problem

Either the dragon's interpretation or Astra's can be considered correct. If one wants to consider the distance of the most direct line between the two carriages, Astra's interpretation is correct. However, carriages (in general) cannot fly , and so, if we limit ourselves to the network of Allarian r...

As for long-running threads, what about the thread that Anableps and I have going, whose latest episode is 31601? (I've also been waiting impatiently for Anableps to finish his long flashback sequence, so that we can resume the plot of the related branch wherein Astra has succeeded Belboz/Minestus ...

31256: Inconstant Moon

Shakespeare does use the phrase.

Romeo and Juliet, Act 2, Scene 2

ROMEO: Lady, by yonder blessed moon I swear
That tips with silver all these fruit-tree tops--

JULIET: O, swear not by the moon, the inconstant moon,
That monthly changes in her circled orb,
Lest that thy love prove likewise variable.

Background info on Glider names

I added a new link on my web page: http://home.earthlink.net/~anableps/GliderNaming.htm . It contains some ideas that I have had about some customs of the Gliders that may be interesting to potential authors, but I have not been able to use in an episode. I am not sure that I will ever use any of it...

How about "None of the above"? Well, the question in the poll itself was which of these was the most interesting villain. (Although the original post talked about villains in general.) Unless none of the choices were interesting :( then one of these could still be picked, even if there ar...

Most interesting villain

Which villain is the most interesting to read / write about, and why? I have included a few in the poll, with an episode in which each appeared in brackets.

Challenge of the Necklace

Thanks, JH. I fixed the error that you mentioned, and polished other parts of the episode. For those that have not been following the wallhugger part of the thread, Fred twisted or broke his ankle, and Checkers injured part of her wing/arm in killing the wallhugger. Here are my thoughts on the injur...

HTML links within episodes

I think that we can have all the features that we want. An author just has to program them into the source code and submit it to Sir Toby. One feature on my wish list is hyperlinking within an episode. There are a lot of stories that like to make reference to events that took place in an unrelated t...
