Waterfall, straight ahead!

The Black Void - Episode 951

As the canoe floats onwards, Duncan soon starts to hear the all too familiar roar of a huge waterfall.

"Well, that's no good" he says in a strangely calm voice, considering the circumstances. Then he shrugs and casts a spell of flying...

...at least, he tries to do. But for some reason, nothing happens.

"Well, that's really no good" he says in a less calm voice. He tries another spell, one that is supposed to destroy water. No luck, he keeps flowing towards the roaring waterfall.

For a brief moment, he is terrified by the thought of suddenly having lost all his magical powers, and wonders how this could have happened. But then his survival instincts kick in, and he looks around desperately for some way to escape his predicament.

  1. A branch is conveniently placed over the river, and Duncan grabs on to it as he floats by.
  2. A pile of rocks are ahead, and Duncan steers his canoe towards them, hoping that they'll stop him from moving onwards.
  3. Seeing no way of escape, Duncan jumps into the water and tries to swim for the shoreline.
  4. Seeing no way of escape, Duncan panics and does nothing, and is soon falling down the waterfall.
  5. Duncan is saved in a totally ridiculous manner by a totally ridiculous deus ex machina.
  6. Something else happens.
