I start by carefully removing the IV drip from my arm. [871] Perhaps whatever drug it was pumping into me was causing those submissive feelings that I've had to overcome? Then I make another attempt to stand. Still no dice, but I do feel a little stronger than last time. Hopefully I'm starting to recover. I'll try again when I estimate that five minutes have gone by.
On my third attempt, some ten minutes later, I manage to struggle to my feet, though I still feel very wobbly. I glance down at my belly. Now that I'm standing, my pregnancy is more obvious than when I was lying down. If I was carrying a single human baby, I'd estimate that I was in my second trimester. But with an alien baby - or possibly more than one [466 - the taken option] - I can't tell how long my pregnancy might be or what stage I am at, for all that the Vorkons look very similar to humans. I look around the room again but, apart from the bed I was lying on and the IV machine, it's totally empty. There's nothing I can use as a weapon. I would look under the bed in the remote hope of finding something but, should I get down on my hands and knees to do so, I'm not sure that I'd be able to get up again. It looks like I shall have to make my escape naked and unarmed.
