Sarah felt that it would be better not to press Roger any further concerning Katje's character. The conversation paused for a moment as they both took a sip of their drinks (having pretty much finished eating by now). I feel remarkably relaxed, she thought. After all, I've been changed into an elf, transported to an alien world, and am now sitting stark naked in a busy inn. The food and wine no doubt has something to do with it, and Roger is very good company, but somehow I feel at home here, though that makes no sense at all.
Putting her goblet down, she said: "Tell me more about Katje's library. Which is her favourite book and, of the ones that she has read to you, which did you like best?" "I think her favourite is one called David Ironfield. It's too long for her to have read it to me, though, as it runs to nine hundred pages! I feel that no story, however good, should be as long as that. The one that I liked best is called The Last of the Dwarves."
