Duncan dashed out of the cell so fast, you'd think he'd have cast an acceleration charm on himself. When he got out of the cell, he dashed up a long, narrow, winding, staircase which, thanks to his past down here, he knew was the only way out of the dungeon.

The witch gave long, loud, cackle which echoed throughout the dungeon. "This brings back so many memories!" she screamed. "But the game's over now."

She lifted her right armpit and groped around the dark, bushy, hair for her wand.

  1. "Here it is!" she squealed, "Right where I left it!"
  2. But her wand was no longer there.
