The Black Void - Episode 6559

When you come round, a worried-looking young man, presumably the car's driver, is bending over you as you lie in the road. For some reason, but fortunately for you, he has switched off his car's lights and is shining a flashlight on you. "Are you all right?" he asks. "My car didn't hit you, but you just seemed to collapse."

"I have a rare form of migraine," you say. "Your lights were so bright that they triggered an immediate attack. But I'm OK now, I think. It passes very quickly."

"I see. I'm testing some new headlights that are much brighter than ordinary ones and have a spectrum that's very similar to sunlight. I'll have to report your reaction. It sounds like this could be a serious problem for the developers. Um, how is it that you're only wearing a nightie?"

"I've been held prisoner, without access to any other clothes, and I've just managed to escape."

  1. The man tells you to get into his car and he'll take you to the police. (Apparently there's no mobile phone signal in this area.) Hopefully you'll be OK in his car as you won't be in his lights' direct beam.
  2. As you speak, the man notices your fangs for the first time. His face reveals shock and fear.
  3. Your escape has been noticed. A bat flies over, lands, and then transforms into the Count.
