Whereas most black voids that you have seen have been only a few feet in diameter, this one is about twenty times that size. It seems that, having realised that their earlier tactics weren't working, the aliens have decided to try something different. The pull from it is tremendous. Dust, stones, even a few uprooted bushes fly past you and into the void. You are very strong in your current form, but even so you are gradually being pulled towards it.

You manage to grab the trunk of a tree as you are dragged past it, and so arrest your progress. You hope that the aliens won't be able to keep such a massive black void running for long.

Sure enough, after a minute or so it vanishes into nothing, leaving the surrounding landscape looking as if a hurricane had hit it.
But after five minutes it is still going strong, and your arms are aching from the effort of holding on to the tree. Eventually you can do so no longer and you are dragged into the void.
