You killed Stanly! sort of....

You plop the helmet on the counter in front of the bartender.

"You beat him," said the bartender, "and in such a way none has thought of before. The free room's all yours, sir."

"Thank you very much." you say as you start on over to the stairs. "Which one is-waaah!" You think you see a ghost-Stanly's specifically, but his head is undamaged where you stabbed him.

"Hello, nice job killing me earlier, who would've thought someone as weak as you could kill me?" You stare at him in awe. "You look confused," he said, "let me guess, don't know how things work around here."

"Obviously not," you say, "how are you alive?"

"When we die, we respawn later, but we lose most of the stuff we were carrying beforehand, like my helmet, sword, and money. Good thing I have more of those safe in the bank."

"The bank?" you ask.

"Yeah, they keep your stuff safe, and you never lose it untill you take it out, otherwise everything is safe, even when you die."

"Well, I'll have to pay the bank a visit tomorrow."

After getting directions to your new room, you slump into the bed. Tired from the day's events, you fall asleep. And-

1. Wake up the next morning to learn....
2. Wake up in the middle of the night to find....
