Some odd-looking, yet somehow familiar fellows

I come across a group of men in colorful uniforms. They are all wearing
black pants, with shirts in different colours, all with small badges on
them. Most of them are wearing red shirts, but there are two in blue
shirts and one in yellow. The yellow-shirted one seems to be in charge.
The red-shirted ones are holding what look like futuristic guns in their
hands. The yellow-shirted one turns to one of the blue-shirts, a fellow
with pointy ears and unusual eyebrows.
"Spock, did the senors pick up any lifesigns on this planet?" "No, captain, they did not. Most unusual." The yellow-shirted one, who is apparently a captain of some sort, turns to the other blue-shirted one, a somewhat older man. "Your analysis, Bones?" The man called "Bones" pushes a few buttons on a curious black device he is holding. "Well, the readings says he's human, Jim." Now the captain, "Jim", turns towards me and introduces himself. "Greetings. My name is captain Kirk of the USS Enterprise. Who are you? Can we help you in some way?"
