Amergin gently moved aside Sarah’s sun-kissed locks and whispered soft
words into the small teeth marks that were imbedded in Sarah’s rose-colored
cheek. She blushed as his warm breath caressed her skin with the utterance
of each unfamiliar sound. She could feel a not unpleasant sting in the skin
around the wound on her cheek.
Now, it felt as if the wound started contracting slowly. First, it seemed as if it was just the sensation of the hot breeze that escaped from Amergin’s lips as the pronunciation of each consecutive syllable became louder and faster. When the exhalations between each mysterious word grew stronger, so too grew the intensity of the contractions of her skin. Her breath became audible now as she felt the shock of each of the words pulsating through her entire being. Amergin paused for a moment to take a deep breath before uttering the last sound. It was no longer a word. It had become a groan that escaped from deep within him. Sarah felt how a shockwave grew from her cheek and flowed down her spine. She held her breath as the sting of the wave raved through her body. For a moment she felt as if the world and her soul had become one and everything was made of happiness. They sat in silence for several minutes. Sarah slowly moved her hand towards her cheek, and felt how the skin had become smooth. The marks were gone.
