A Shocking Development

Rita, looking distraught, shakes her head - then stops with a wide-eyed look. "Yeah, maybe - hold on." She begins digging frantically through her purse, looking for something. Finally, she pulls out a little device that looks vaguely like...

"A taser?"

"Uh-huh. My brother gave it to me for protection. It's supposed to be for purse snatchers and other human-type baddies, but maybe it could short out Mr. Roboto out there."

You consider it. It's a long shot - but it's the only shot you've got.

You and Rita plan together for a few minutes, then decide there's no time like the present. You bang open the door and limp to the right, while Rita slowly goes left.

"Hey, Metal Man, when can we leave? It's getting a little warm in there."

The robot turns and follows you while you speak. "Please return to the restroom for protection and demolition."

"Hey, c'mon, we need to get away for a while, huh? Promise we'll be back."

The robot remains unmoved. "Please return to the restroom for protection and demolition," it says. "This is your second notification. There will be no third notification - if you do not comply, you will be returned to the restroom by force."

"Please?" you say. That's the signal. With the robot's full attention on you, Rita lunges forward and plunges the taser toward's a circuit panel on the robot's back.

1. The robot spasms, then slumps over to the side, unmoving.
2. The robot spasms, the begins flailing wildly.
3. There is no effect - the robot simply turns and seizes Rita.
4. There is no effect - the robot reaches out and seizes you.
5. The robot sways, then holds up its arms and exclaims in an agitated voice, "Oh My God! What have they done to me?!?"
