You find yourself in a gun-metal grey corridor with "L-3 C-12" on one of
the walls in big white letters. Suddenly, a red light on the ceiling
starts revolving like those lights you've seen on a police car, and
there's a horrible wailing sound. You try to cover your ears to block out
the sound, but it doesn't work. Next thing you know, walls seem to come down from the ceiling, hitting the floor with an ominous clank, blocking you in the corridor. There's a hissing sound, and though you can't see or smell what's causing it, you gradually become sleepy. Losing the fight to stay wake, you collapse on the floor in a deep sleep. When you open your eyes again, you find several people you don't recognise staring down at you. You try to get away from these strangers but find your body's not quite up to any sudden movements just yet. You shout for your mommy, but she doesn't come, instead you get a slight pinprick in your left upper arm. Whatever they've just injected you with leaves you feeling almost completely numb, unable to do anything except raise your head weakly and squint against the blinding white light affixed to the ceiling. "Was there any need for that, doctor?" you hear a male voice say. He sounds rather annoyed. "She could have hardly put up a fight considering the state she was in." "Standard procedure, captain, you should know that by now," another man says. "I can't risk either myself or my staff." Doctor? Were you in a hospital? Did hospitals have captains in them? You didn't think so, but then you didn't have the slightest idea of where that nasty clown sent you. "No point in arguing with you, doctor," the man identified as the captain says. You hear a sigh. "Still, I wish I knew where she was from. This makes the fifth child to have suddenly appeared on this station in the same number of weeks." The FIFTH? Had the Black Void amusement park claimed more victims than you? You try to say something but no words come out. You hear yet another voice, this time female, say soothingly, "Everything's going to be alright, sweetheart. Just rest now. You'll soon feel much better."
