The Leak

Before replying, Max bows to me and greets me with a "Milady".

"Pleased to see you again," I reply.

Only then does Max turn to Anorkin and answer his question. "Of course not. But there has been a development that you ought to be aware of. News of Naomi's return and that she is here has already leaked out. I had hoped that we might have had a week or two's grace. but it was not to be. I am afraid that very soon you are going to be constantly pestered by all manner of people wishing to see her."

"We can't have that. I need at least a month alone with Naomi with minimal interruptions, if I am fully to restore her memory...

1. "But I can set up a magical barrier around this house that only you will be able to penetrate. No doubt some people will think me rude, but I can live with that."
2. "Fortunately I have an alternative residence that I set up many years ago as a bolt hole, which no-one but me knows about."
3. "Please put it about that she has moved on to an unknown destination. I can cast a spell on her to temporarily alter her appearance to back that up."
