With nothing left to kill Hiro is left with a hangdog expression and no
reason to go on living. His gaze passes over his katana, then over his
wrists, then back to his katana. "Wait," you say compassionately, placing
your hand on his shoulder. "Something just occured to me. I think those
Slaughter Beast pods might have been empty when we launched them. Let's
check the security tapes." The tapes are reviewed and indeed, you realize that seven of the fifteen pods were empty when launched. Hiro checks the beast registry and gives a sigh of relief. Thirteen Slaughter Beasts were assigned to pods when the ship left port, meaning five of the alien organisms were still roaming around the ship somewhere. You exchange high fives with Hiro and together you run outside, into bloodied corridors littered with the horribly mutilated bodies of Dodo Bird Hunter crew members...
