Jacques and the pilot, Steve, feel horrible about leaving the others behind, but there simply had been no time. The ship was just too fast, faster then it had any right to be. As it was, they had been almost capsized.
Steve helps Jacques off the boat. Fortunately the island had several small, overgrown inlets, this was the only way the two had escaped. Jacques leads the way deep into a maze of rocks and up a rocky staircase.
"I know a place we can hide." Jacques says. "This island was viable for a long time because it was used as a smuggler's hideout. So much non-violent crime went on here it inspired the creators of the Hardy Boys. We have a maze to hide in...that is, if the Black Void hasn't changed everything."
Which aspect of the island do the two hide in?

  1. An old wine cellar, which is still in use.
  2. A limestone cavern.
  3. A primitive sewer system, long cleaned out and abandoned.
  4. The basement to Jacques' friends house, a reclusive elderly billionaire named Bruce Wayne.
  5. The bomb-shelter turned hurricane-protection shelter.
  6. The mysterious cavern nobody quite figured out.
  7. The tunnels converted to the emergency generator system.
  8. Jacques' comic book collection room. Heck, space is space.
