Having seen enough sci-fi movies to know what to do in this situation,
you yell "Fire at will!"
"Roger!" Hiro says. "Bringing weapons online! Firing!" A blue beam of energy lances out fron the Dodo Bird Hunter and slices through the daikon radish shaped ship as easily as a knife through...well, a daikon radish. "Direct hit, target destroyed!" Hiro whoops. Blank and Andrews give each other high-fives. Zora rolls over and pukes. You smile smugly, pleased with yourself. But then you take a closer look at the viewscreen. Something's not quite right here... The beam that destroyed the enemy ship is still going. Straight towards Affrit. Before you can even alert the others, the beam impacts the planet. And destroys it completely! "What the hell just happened!? Hiro, what did you do!?" you scream. "I, uh, I don't know. This is impossible. These readings... Affrit's gone. One of the core planets of the Friendship. All those people...aliens mostly, but still." Hiro stammers, his face paling. "How could one shot from a little pet shop ship like this have destroyed an entire planet!?" you ask incredulously. "The Destiny." Hiro says softly, slowly coming to an understanding. You and the others give him blank stares, so he explains further: "My father told me about once, when I was little. Towards the end of the galactic war, when it was clear that the Human Empire was going to lose to the Great Friendship, a human scientist developed a planet-destroying superweapon as a last ditch effort to win. According to official reports, the plans for Project Destiny, as it was called, never got off the ground before Earth was conquered. But there were rumors.. rumors that the weapon was completed, and hidden within a civilian ship. It's possible that the Dodo Bird Hunter is that ship. Now, after all these years, it's been rediscovered. And we have it." You gulp. What have you gotten yourself into? You say:
